SmartLab students were learning to code this week using a free online program called Scratch. The program allows students to learn coding in an easy to use application and without having to memorize complicated coding language.
Students created their own simple pong game using the visual program system. Each block of code snaps to another block, allowing the creation of complicated programs that are as easy to put together as legos.
